Project Play emerged from our experience with the Smithsonian X3d and is a free* technology preview that enables you to make amazingly rich interactive 3D presentations on the web — without programming. It's an in-browser node-based editor, requires no download, and renders your work in real-time. You can combine 3D models, vector drawings, images, text files, videos, audio, and APIs that stream live from the web (i.e., Google Maps, Twitter, etc.). In Play, you can combine all these media types to create interactive experiences for mobile, desktop, and Virtual Reality.

By joining the project, you have the ability to access the technology preview, post your feedback in the discussion forum, and stay up to date with the latest developments concerning the technology preview. You will need an Autodesk login to join the project. If you do not have one, registration is free. Just select Create Account after clicking to join the technology preview.

We are granting you rights to participate in this limited technology preview at no cost to you. Please read and accept the following terms. By joining the project, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms referenced below. Do not join if you do not agree to be bound.

1. I acknowledge that in exchange for my use of the application, I agree to provide Autodesk with feedback in accordance with the Autodesk Labs Terms of Use and agree to other terms and conditions therein. Additionally I understand that any downloadable technology that is made available through the Autodesk Labs site is governed by the terms of the license agreement which accompanies or is included with the preview. For any part of the technology preview that is available through the Internet as a web-based or cloud-based service, I understand that my access and use of the service will be governed by the applicable terms of service, which I have had an opportunity to read.
2. The technology preview is available worldwide, subject to applicable legal and regulatory restrictions. The End User License Agreement (Autodesk Pre-release Products Agreement) for this technology preview is available in English. As part of the install process, you will be required to accept and agree to be bound by the terms of the End User License Agreement accompanying the software. Please print and keep a copy of the End User License Agreement for your records.
3. I agree that Autodesk may contact me to ask for my feedback (including surveys) on improving the technology, to request permission to use my content beyond those covered by the terms of use, and to send me information about Labs updates and new Labs technology previews. I further agree to the general use of my personal information as described in the Autodesk Privacy Policy (including cross-border transfers as described in the policy).
